Ken Takemoto has been dedicated to the arts for over 16 years as an
actor, costume designer and property designer. Ken has worked on
over 52 productions at East West Players specifically spinning his talents
as a property master. He retired from LAUSD after 35 years of teaching
art. As a costume designer, Ken has received Dramalogue Awards for
his costumes in Caberet and Twelf
Nite O' Wateva.
He has appeared as an actor onstage in Sisters Matsumoto, Follies,
and Taste of Kona Coffee at East West Players. He
has worked with many notable theater companies, including West Coast Ensemble,
Cornerstone Theatre, Lodestone Theater, Grateful Crane Ensemble and Masako
Productions.
He is also a dance/performance artist and was seen performing at Highways
Performance Space last fall and this past spring. As a print model,
his likeness is seen in many ads and brochures.
Ken has numerous TV commercials and has appeared in television and film. His
television credits include My Name is Earl, Six
Feet Under, Curb Your Enthusiasm and House.
His film credits include The Island and Just
Like Heaven.
