TERRI ROBERTS has
happily lived most of her life in the theatre.
Currently, she reviews, and writes about, theatre/entertainment
for several publications and websites. She
is also a busy publicist, producer, stage manager,
and
house manager, and commonly wears two or three
of these
hats at a time on her projects. Last year she
met fellow multi-hatter Russell Boast when they
shared
stage manager duties for the world premiere
musical
"If Only," for which
she also handled publicity. They quickly became
close friends and worked
together
on other shows, including the
2006 Los
Angeles Woman’s
Theatre Festival. Their shared and individual
skills so complimented each other that this
year they launched
their aptly named theatrical venture, HatRack
Productions (
www.hatrackproductions.com).
They are now producing
their first play, the LA premiere of Michael
MacLennan’s
"The Shooting Stage," which
will open later this year. Terri is, of course,
also handling
the
publicity. Additional publicity clients include
The Celtic
Arts
Center,
Interact Theatre Company,
Triumvirate
Pi Theatre,
the Outlaw Style Thrance
Company,
and
numerous independent shows. Terri has stage
managed productions
at the
Celtic Arts Center,
the
Lillian Theatre,
the Globe Theatre,
the LA Gay
and Lesbian Center,
and
the Ivar Theatre, and house managed
at the
Elephant Theatre,
the Lillian
Theatre,
the
Hudson Guild,
and extensively at the
Los Angeles Theatre
Center. Her
producer credits include the
34th, 35th
and 36th Annual Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle
Awards and
two world premiere plays. She is a longtime
member
of the
Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle,
and a proud member of
Actors Equity.
